A full information pack can be downloaded using the links below, along with the Application form.
The application DEADLINE is MONDAY 28th MARCH, 2014. Completed applications must be received by 5pm that day.
The Source Youth Work Project was launched in 2006 by The Miracle Trust as an outreach project to build a bridge between young people on the Arbourthorne housing estate, in South East Sheffield, and a newly created church – Arbourthorne Community Church (ACC).
Over the last few years, this work has grown, and now requires a new team leader in order to take the work to a new level. The project has a vision to serve the local area, and city, by creating a hub of excellent resources for all young people in the locality – ultimately connecting the young people with the church community.
The Source ‘7E’ Vision states:
Our vision is to ENGAGE with EVERY young person in order to ENABLE, EQUIP, EDUCATE, ENERGISE and EMPOWER them to reach their potential
The Miracle Trust and ACC have been allocated the use of a community building which is being transformed into a vibrant community centre. It is hoped that The Spires Centre will become, a place of training, equipping and releasing of young people.
We are now seeking a Source Project Team Leader who will be required to develop this vision, directing and implementing strategy, and to fulfil the mandate and aims of the Miracle Trust/ACC in reaching the neighbourhood and impacting the city.
The Miracle Trust has a vision to connect church, community and commerce in order to see a city transformed. Over the next few years we aim to build a dynamic team that is able to build replicable models of youth and community work across the city of Sheffield.
The work of the Miracle Trust and ACC is never exclusive, but springs from a Christian ethos which aims to serve all and everyone regardless of race, gender, ability, ethnic origin, sexuality, class or faith. Whilst we recognise that the work done by our youth team will be both secular and faith-based – this being the very nature of a bridge-building role – we are seeking a person who can demonstrate a committed Christian faith and lifestyle that reflects the core values of the organisation itself.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of project development and team leadership. The role will involve working closely with the CEO of The Miracle Trust, and the senior leadership of ACC.
